Alexandria Dental Art Saving Smiles Scholarship

At Alexandria Dental Art, our goal has always been to promote healthy, beautiful smiles. To expand the scope of this mission, we are opening the Saving Smiles Scholarship supporting the education of future dentists and orthodontists. The winner of the scholarship will receive $1,000 to help cover the costs of their continuing education.

One student per semester will be chosen as the recipient of the Saving Smiles Scholarship. To be considered for the Fall 2026 semester, please review all of the requirements listed below and submit your application before the final deadline of June 3, 2026.

Qualifying for the Saving Smiles Scholarship

We will only consider applications from students who meet all of the following requirements:

  • You Must Be Enrolled At An Accredited School Or University With The Intent To Pursue A Career In Dentistry. This May Include Dentistry School Or A Relevant Undergraduate Program.
  • You Must Be Ineligible For Financial Aid, With A Demonstrated Need For Financial Assistance.
  • You Must Be At Least 17 Years Old.
  • You Must Be A Citizen Of The United States.

Application Process

All students interested in applying for the Saving Smiles Scholarship must submit a 500-word essay responding to the following prompt: What will you do after graduating from dental school, and how will the Saving Smiles Scholarship support your career aspirations?

Alongside the essay, we ask that all applicants provide proof of acceptance or enrollment at an accredited dental school or in a relevant undergraduate program. Applicants should also provide proof of ineligibility for FAFSA assistance with their application and a professional headshot.

How Will My Application Be Judged?

Our scholarship judges will evaluate your essay based on three criteria:

  • Do You Follow All Instructions And Answer The Provided Prompt Directly?
  • Is Your Response Clearly Organized And Original?
  • Does Your Response Contain A Thoughtful Reflection On Your Career Goals After Graduation?
